Fashion Failures, Mistakes and Mishaps
This fourth reading group session takes up a theme many of us shy away from: failure. Yet failures, or mistakes and mishaps can prove useful in the learning process, and can even lead to new and unthought of discoveries. Or to think of fashion failures in another way, don’t we all have stories of when clothes have let us down in social situations? It’s not only celebrities who suffer from ”wardrobe malfunctions.” We’ll be examining all of these concepts through a short selection of diverse contemporary and historical texts, films and online resources.

To join us and to receive an electronic copy of the readings in advance please RSVP to: fashionresearchnetwork@gmail.comwith Reading Group in the title.

We look forward to meeting you!

Warm Regards,

Katerina Pantelides and Alexis Romano,
Courtauld Institute of Art
